Tuesday mornings
Parent and child yoga in Barnstaple
One morning a week, the loft is for grown-ups and little ones together. Parent and child yoga runs on Tuesday mornings, and up to two children come free with each adult.
You roll out a mat, your children come with you, and nobody minds if they wander, wriggle or join in. It's a gentle way to get a practice in without having to find childcare first, and a soft introduction to yoga for the little ones alongside you.
You book a spot for yourself, and up to two children come free with each adult. The rest of the week the studio is grown-ups only, so this is the one class made for bringing them along.
How it works
- Book your own place. A single spot for you, on the Tuesday morning class. Up to two children come free with each adult, so there's nothing to book or pay for them.
- Bring the basics. Comfortable clothes and water for you, a mat if you have one (or £1 to hire), and whatever keeps a little one happy.
- Arrive a little early. About ten minutes on your first visit. The door closes two minutes before the start, so give yourselves time to settle.
- Then just practise. Follow along at your own pace, with them near you. No pressure on either of you to get it right.
What it costs
Your place is priced like any class: £12 for a drop-in, or covered by a 10-class pack, an unlimited membership, or the £30 intro month for new students. Children are free, up to two per adult, and mats are £1 to hire.

Are the children really free?
Yes. You book and pay for your own place, and up to two children come free with each adult. There's nothing extra to pay for them.
What ages is it for?
It's made for you and your little ones to be on the mat together. If you're not sure it suits your child's age, get in touchand we'll help you decide before you book.
Do the children have to do the poses?
Not at all. They can join in, potter about, or just be near you. There is no right way for them to be there, and no one minds a bit of wriggling.
What do I need to bring?
Comfortable clothes and some water for you, a mat if you have one (or £1 to rent one of ours), and whatever keeps your little one comfortable. The first time you book there's a short health and liability form, once only.
Can I come to a class without my children?
Yes. Tuesday mornings are the parent and child slot; the rest of the timetable is grown-ups only, so there is a quiet class whenever you want one for yourself.
I've never done yoga. Is that OK?
Completely. Beginners are the point here. Our guide for beginners walks you through where to start.
