FAQ

Good questions

The studio is still taking shape, so a few answers are works in progress. Anything not yet certain gets confirmed before booking opens.

I've never done yoga. Is that OK?

More than OK: beginners are the point. Every class on the timetable welcomes you exactly as you are, and the teacher will always offer a gentler option for any shape. No pressure, no perfect poses required. If you can breathe, you can practise. New here? Our guide for beginners walks you through where to start.

What should I bring?

Just yourself, comfortable clothes you can move in, and some water. Bring your own mat if you have one, or rent one of ours for £1 a class. What else the studio provides (blocks, blankets) will be confirmed before opening.

Can I bring my children?

Tuesday mornings are made for exactly that: Parent & Child Yoga at 09:30, where up to two children come free with each adult. Book a spot for yourself on the timetable and bring them along. The rest of the timetable is grown-ups only, so the room stays quiet for everyone.

Where is the studio?

The Loft, 36 Boutport Street, Barnstaple, Devon EX31 1RX. Right in the middle of town, up in the roof. See the contact page for how to find us.

Where can I park?

Barnstaple's town-centre car parks are all within a few minutes' walk of Boutport Street. We'll publish the closest options and walking times before opening.

How far ahead can I book?

Booking for each class opens 7 days before it starts and closes 2 minutes before the start time, when the studio door closes. The timetable pagealways shows what's open to book.

What if I'm running late?

The door closes 2 minutes before the class starts so everyone can settle into practice, and once it's shut we can't let latecomers in. Aim to arrive 10 minutes early, especially on your first visit.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancel up to 12 hours before class and your class credit comes straight back to you. Inside 12 hours the credit is used, which keeps spaces fair for people on the waitlist.

Do I need to fill anything in before my first class?

Yes: a short liability and health form the first time you book, so the teacher knows how to look after you. It takes a couple of minutes and you only do it once.

How much do classes cost?

Drop-ins are £12, a 10-class pack is £100, unlimited monthly is £55, and new students can get a £30 intro month. Full details on the pricing page.

Is the studio accessible?

We're working through access as part of the fit-out and will publish full accessibility details before opening. If you have specific needs, get in touchand we'll answer honestly about what the space can and can't do.
